Beautiful breakfast/lunch joint. They serve both breakfast and lunch at any time that they are open. The breakfast sandwich and sweet grits were delicious. The hospitality was even better. Some of the warmest welcome that I would hope for on a Saturday morning. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. There’s an entrance in the back and the front. The owner Joe was there and he was a wonderful host, see below for the selfie I got with him. The wall is full of photos of him and former customers/workers you can tell. He really cares about the crowd that comes in.

Walking into Joe’s Cafe feels like stepping back in time to when business owners knew your name, cared about your experience, and took real pride in what they served. Joe is that kind of genuine business owner you don’t often see anymore—humble, welcoming, and truly passionate about his cafe. The food is simply delicious, made with that homestyle touch that you can taste in every bite. Prices are more than fair, almost like he’s holding on to the good old days when value mattered. And the service? It’s the kind where you feel like family, not just another customer. Places like this are rare, and I’m so glad I found it. I’ll definitely be back, and I’ll be bringing friends.

From the moment I walked in the place seemed so welcoming. Every employee treated us like their best friend. As we were eating, an employee (Joe’s brother, I think) came out and gave us a bowl of oatmeal to try for free, and talked with us a bit. The food had such a rich and enjoyable taste. I didn’t know hash browns could be that good . We had just about finished eating when Joe came over to our table and talked with us. He was hilarious and very nice. Overall a great experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Joe was chatting people up having a great time. Great food. Charming. Epitome of mom-n-pop diner. Everything we ate was very tasty - grits, joes omelet, biscuits & gravy, French toast. Good service. We will be back and highly recommend.

After 15 years, Joe continues to be the best of the best. I first met Joe in 2019, 10 years after he opened his restaurant. The man is a riot. The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere is amazing. Whenever I find myself in Orem, and needing lunch, I try to remember to go to Joe’s. He’s the man and his restaurant is top notch.

Got to meet the chef himself; what a fantastic guy. We definitely left not only full but in higher spirits. We ordered French toast, and biscuits and gravy. Delicious food. If you haven't had a chance to stop by, you definitely need to. We went for breakfast but can't wait to go back for lunch to try a burger. Thank you Joe! See you very soon indeed.

It's been a long time since we've experienced service like this! Amazing. This place has all the cool kids working there. We've been to lots of restaurants in Utah, and we miss really great hospitality. We found it. So fast, so kind, so attentive so genuinely concerned about your experience there. They make time to make a personal connection to us and everyone else around us. We loved it! Cool vibes. Pure kindness. Looks like we're going back again soon for the grits. Thank you Joe for the free sample! I promise I won't order the crispy hash browns next time..... even though they were amazing. Food was delicious. Steak and eggs were cooked just right. And the cook came out to make sure I was happy with it. The burgers there are 8oz patties! My smoken hot wife thought she wouldn't be able to eat it all, but she did. Too delicious to waste. So ya.... Can't wait to go back. A little cramped inside. But outside patios are very cool! Maybe someday they will get a bigger place, but let's not. It's perfect.
